  • Rob Bellon

    Founder, Creative Director

    Award-winning director Rob Bellon is the founder and creative director of Tangible.

    Over 10 years, Rob has produced over a hundred animation and VFX projects for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to independent feature films, to neighborhood non-profits.

    At Tangible, Rob is involved at every level of production and creative decision-making, which, depending on the day, could mean storyboarding, production, editing, animation, VFX, musical scoring, sound design.

    Rob graduated from the Columbia University MFA Film program as a screenwriter, and his work was selected for the New York Stage and Film Screenwriter’s Lab. He earned a BA from Binghamton University, where he studied world literature.

  • Esteban García Vernaza

    Director, VFX Lead

    Esteban García Vernaza is a Colombian Filmmaker who has been working as a director, producer, editor, animator and visual effects artist for over a decade.

    After finishing his BFA in Digital Animation, he moved to New York City to pursue an MFA in film at Columbia University. Esteban’s short Film “Silento” was awarded a production grant from the Colombian Ministry of Culture and was an official selection at the 2020 Telluride Film Festival. “Silento” received the Grand Prize Student Film Award from the Directors Guild of America, as well as the Student Production Grant from The National Board of Review.

    Esteban’s previous films have screened in several film festivals across the United States and Europe as well as on Mexican TV.

  • Omar Kakar

    Director, VFX, Animation

    Omar joins Tangible as an accomplished director in both the commercial and narrative space. In addition to serving as a directorial voice on projects, he also lends his talents as a seasoned visual effects artist, animator, and illustrator.

    Omar’s existential noir short film, “The Man on the Mortuary Table,” was selected for the New Voices program in the Pendance Film Festival, and received the Jack Larson Award for Collaboration at the 2018 Columbia University Film Festival, and his short film “Pythia” was featured on MUBI in the Sci-Fi category.

    An architect-turned filmmaker, Omar holds a B.Arch degree from Woodbury University School of Architecture, and a master’s degree in Directing from the Columbia University MFA Film program. As a first-generation American from a family fleeing conflict in Afghanistan, Omar brings a cross-cultural, humanistic perspective to all his work.

  • Gabriel Wilson

    Director, Producer

    Gabriel Wilson is a director and producer whose work explores human relationships through a naturalistic and humorous lens. His award-winning short film Clean, about a middle school student with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, was recently acquired by PBS and broadcast across the country.

    As a producer, Gabriel’s credits include Michael Walker’s upcoming feature film Paint, based on a pilot first screened at the Sundance Film Festival and actor Josh Caras’s directorial debut Leon’s Fantasy Cut. Gabriel has also produced and directed commercials for companies such as IBM, Quiksilver, and Harper Collins.

    In 2019 he graduated with honors from Columbia University’s MFA Film Program where he was awarded the prestigious Leone Family Film Grantor his thesis film Balk. In 2020 Gabriel was the recipient of the New England Filmmaker Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and a finalist for The SFFILM Science In Cinema Filmmaker Fellowship. As an educator, Gabriel currently teaches film production and film studies at Hunter College in New York City.

  • Maya Ovrutsky

    VP Operations

    Maya is an operations powerhouse with more than a decade of leadership in communications and branding. She has led major design and strategic communications campaigns for many of New York’s leading non-profits and cultural institutions, including the Public Theater, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Center for Constitutional Rights, New York Civil Liberties Union, and Robinhood Foundation.

    At Tangible, Maya focuses on how to improve our workflows, systems, and overall operations so that we can provide a clear and streamlined experience for all our clients.

    She holds a BA from Bates College, where she majored in anthropology. While living in Bolivia, she shot and directed a documentary on how indigenous women taxi drivers in Cochabamba broke down barriers of gender and traditional work to reach better employment opportunities in their city.
